A space where I write observations from the places I find myself and what they’re making me notice

Hi, I’m Dickie.

I’ve spent much of my life across the Global South, working across cultures to build financial solutions; especially in places the world tends to overlook. With many wins and some notable losses I’ve developed a view of the world that attempts to understand the world through something other than pre-conceived constructs. But this site isn’t really about that. It’s more personal. A place to think aloud, share ideas, and try to make sense of things as I go.

I’m interested in how people live, what they believe, and the stories they carry — from ancient architecture to modern finance, from Jung to blockchain. I don’t think those things are as separate as they seem and my passion lies in the fact that there is so much more that connects us than separates us.

Sometimes I write about the future of money. Sometimes about consciousness, politics or a half-forgotten myth I can’t get out of my head. This is not really a blog or a brand site— more just a space for things that don’t fit neatly anywhere else.

If you’re here out of curiosity, welcome. I don’t have all the answers — just questions I keep circling around in the hope that in some small way my work can have an impact.
